How an Architecture Background Shaped the "Love Potion" Environment.
Most 3D artists rely on a 2D illustration to start, but for "Love Potion," I designed everything directly in... ... the 3D viewport. My background in Architecture from Beykent University gave me the structural foundation to manage this complex scene, from the magical classroom's proportions to the feminine, pink-dominant aesthetic.
The Breakdown:
-The Story: A blonde witch mid-action, summoning a potion via an Accio spell.
-The Workflow: I began with a rough 3D blockout in Maya to lock in composition and camera placement before any sculpting began.
-Generalist Mindset: My journey from architectural structure to expressive character modeling taught me that a project is only as strong as its initial blockout.
This "Structure-First" approach is the basis of my XGen Core program. We build scenes that don't just look good but are technically sound from the first primitive.
